Self-discovery Filmmaking
Bronx All-girls Prep, Fall 2020
The Village Project SF, Spring 2023
Our WeXL Boundless Self-discovery Filmmaking teaches youth to explore creativity by making 3-minute short films. Students also meet professionals in film and media.
This in-person group class goes through the three stages of production: pre-production, production, and post-production.
Students use the WeXL Media Lab equipment under the guidance of our team to create, shoot, and complete their film projects.

Upon completion, films will be screened at The Little Roxie Theater in front of a live audience at a special “red carpet” celebration!
Students will work together to:
Brainstorm story ideas
Write a three-act script
Make films with our team and professional industry mentors
Give and get constructive feedback
Present their films and answer Q&A
